Sophia Walker wins 200m breaststroke at Eulach-Meeting in Winterthur
Walker competed in 11 events at the long-course meet, reaching the podium three times. She took gold in the 200m breaststroke, silver in the 50m breaststroke with a 36.40, and silver in the 100m breaststroke with a 1:20.22. She also set personal bests in the 50m backstroke (37.70) and 100m backstroke (1:20.57).
Other athletes across the age groups had strong days. Elena Fischer reached her first podium of the season with a bronze in the 100m freestyle, while Jonas Meier posted a personal best in the 200m IM en route to silver. Anna Keller earned gold in the 50m butterfly, her first win in that event since 2024.
Limmat Sharks Zürich finished with 14 total podiums, including 5 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals. That placed the club second overall among the 12 teams at the meet, behind only the host club SC Uster.

Walker’s three medals were the most by any Limmat Sharks swimmer at the meet. Her 200m breaststroke win was the club’s only gold in the breaststroke events.
The meet marked a strong finish to the spring long-course season for Walker, who dropped time in both backstroke events. She will now shift her focus to summer training with her club in Zürich.
